HUMAN CENTERED DESIGN
HIV AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
In the summer of 2013 I was invited to join a team working on the Si Lo Vivo (Yes, I’m living it) campaign. The campaign targeted at-risk populations and attempted to make them aware of free STI testing sites, safe sex practices, and post-result therapy. The promotions combated the fear and stigma of receiving a positive diagnosis by showing people living with HIV.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The social media component, paired with physical
advertisements in clinics in Mexico City and
Guadalajara, featured testimonials from people
who identify as men who have sex with men, sex
workers, and trans people.
This campaign was the primary advertisement for the Checcos Organization, who took rapid
HIV testing into clubs and bars and united patrons
with lgbtq-friendly medical professionals
in Guadalajara.
